I think Pacino is extraordinary in it and the final shot still chokes me up.
I did a post awhile back lamenting that Mickey Rourke didn't get to play Joey Zaza, a bit of casting that I think would have helped...oh well it is what is and I am pretty forgiving of Part Three's many flaws...thanks again for the great post.Nostalgia Kinkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506680500183270767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2118574901486983093.post-20749798869878356042007-08-30T19:46:00.000-07:002007-08-30T19:46:00.000-07:00Thanks for the comment Jeremy. It's great to know that the movie now looks better than it has in years, maybe since it first came out. For all I know, it looks ever better than that.

Now, of course, I've got a desire to see PART II again, which I'm sure I'll do soon. III is a more complicated matter, but that film isn't without worth. I'm going to have to write about that one at some point.Mr. Peel aka Peter Avellinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10553482286909862975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2118574901486983093.post-61388239937614972112007-08-30T04:27:00.000-07:002007-08-30T04:27:00.000-07:00Awesome, I am so excited about seeing this restora...Awesome,
I am so excited about seeing this restoration I can't even tell you. Thanks for the first hand report, I am glad to hear that it sounds like they have done a great job with it.
I revisit the first two "Godfather" films every Fall and not only do I never get bored with them but I am always finding something new and fresh.
I love these films...just love them.
Thanks again for this report...Nostalgia Kinkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506680500183270767noreply@blogger.com
