I guess I just like the movie too much. I'm still humming some of the songs when I'm by myself in the car. Thanks to you both for the terrific comments, great to hear from more LABYRINTH fans who get so much out of it as well!Mr. Peel aka Peter Avellinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10553482286909862975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2118574901486983093.post-29265818340165922932011-08-25T17:41:50.833-07:002011-08-25T17:41:50.833-07:00Good analysis.

I still remember where I was and who I was with the first time I saw it - and I was 12.

I've always loved the growth in Sarah. Her power as a woman was all theory at the beginning, but at the end she takes ownership of it, accepts it as real and not a fantasy.

And I still say "Nothing? Nothing, tra la la!" all the time. Probably daily.Emily Blakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02163221455899041141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2118574901486983093.post-21560544396960887682011-08-24T12:48:57.066-07:002011-08-24T12:48:57.066-07:00Mr Peel I bet you get fed up with people saying wh...Mr Peel I bet you get fed up with people saying whoa I just saw that film last week :)

Have always been fond of Labrynth and it is fresh in mind after a very recent viewing and I have inevitably still got some of the songs stuck in my head. I always suspected that the Goblin King represented something, er ahem, quite blatantly male and adult, while the very small Hoggle was meant to be his benign alternative. The little fella even looks like a willie!

Yep it would never happen now. Great write up as ever.

MichaelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
