In this case, you're talking about one of my very favorite films, one which I really need to watch again, SOON.

Around the time that I first saw IaLP, I read a short Bogart bio, BOGEY THE GOOD BAD BUY by Ezra Goodman, which, as I remember it, was a perfect companion to his work in the Ray film. It's OOP, of course, but you should seek it out, if you're not already familiar with it.

And, finally, keep writing, whether here, or in screenplay form, or something else.

http://www.amazon.com/Bogey-good-bad-guy-Ezra-Goodman/dp/B0007DF0WINed Merrillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15436251586131278302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2118574901486983093.post-247994373744991542012-02-04T22:30:53.065-08:002012-02-04T22:30:53.065-08:00You are going through some pain, and I'm sorry...You are going through some pain, and I'm sorry to hear about it, but you're pouring it out through your blog writing, and that's been good for your readers. Dix is oone of Bogart's best characters, and the tension in this movie is at times unbearable.

If you want to have a treat, read the book in which the movie was based. It's a completely different story. Completely! Seems the studio just liked the title.

Until next time...Joe Martinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11960803506051969149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2118574901486983093.post-10429441043897552002012-02-01T12:18:10.986-08:002012-02-01T12:18:10.986-08:00Love love love this movie.
